Coastal Management Issues

NZARM members and other interested parties are invited to a seminar/field visit on coastal management in the Bay of Plenty Region.

The field trip will include a visit to Matata to discuss the effects and rehabilitation of last year’s flood disaster.

A wide range of interesting speakers will be present, including coastal managers, recreation groups, regional and district council staff, scientists and tangata whenua.

An informal dinner will also be held Friday evening for those who wish to stay on and indulge in deep and meaningful discussion on the benefits of leather harness, horse drays, Triumph motorbikes and smoked kahawai.

We encourage you to bring a guest. NZARM members $20, guests $30 to cover catering costs

9.30am to 4.00pm seminar and field trip at Environment BOP Head Office, Quay Street, Whakatane

6.30 onwards: Dinner at a secret location (cause we haven’t decided).
